SuperMounterWhat it is:It's an old, outdated utility that I wrote in late 2003 for my Home Directory Encryption project. This page is here for historical reasons.SuperMounter is a very simple Mac OS X utility, written in C, which mounts a device image (dmg) in such a way so that it is not unmounted by a logout. It does this by executing the command "hdid" as the root user. This is useful if you want to mount a device image and keep it open while switching users. SuperMounter is open-source, under the GPL license. (It is useful if you wish to place a user's home directory on a device image... if this is of interest to you, check out the HOWTO). SuperMounter is available in two formats: 1. Mac OS DMG file (gzipped) 2. Source Code (unix gz file) |
